Campbell & Christine Pinot Noir 2024
Vineyard

A vineyard we have managed since establishment in the mid 90’s. Campbell &
Christine Pinot Noir is from a low altitude warm site that we think has taken time for us to understand. There are three clones and two soil zones to contend within the block. It’s an outstanding north-facing site of alluvial clay and red soils washed down from Red Hill. The larger size of the vineyard allows us to employ various winemaking techniques that ultimately make this wine very special.

Like all Quealy Pinot Noir, Campbell & Christine is dry grown, restricting yield and forcing vine roots downwards to create powerful and serious Pinot Noir.

Winery

Hand Harvested 27th, 29th of February and 5th March. Wild yeast. Average 22 days on skins. 10 Months in puncheons & Hogheads. 1/4 new.

Fragrant nose of dried strawberries, raspberries, hibiscus, potpourri & nutmeg. It’s medium-bodied with finely knit tannins. Silky & perfumed, with a lengthy, floral finish.
