After a sold-out summer series, D.O.C & their famed Luigi pizza van return to Quealy Winery Cellar Door on this long weekend, 
Saturday 6th June and Sunday 7th June from 12pm–4pm

Serving classic D.O.C pizza, antipasto & cheese that pair so magnificently with our wine; & so perfectly with soprano Maira singing Italian opera (Sunday only).

We’ll have an open fire roaring, wine flowing & pizzas coming hot from the oven. 

Bring your coats & boots – it’s going to be a fun welcome to winter 2026 under our winery roof.

Musk Creek Chardonnay 2025 is a paradox of muscular and fine, grapes sensitively whole bunch pressed directly to barrel and left alone to naturally ferment. Seventeen Rows Pinot Noir 2023 has its own brooding style, heralding the Balnarring sub-region, established in 1982, certified organic, zero irrigation majestic heavy vines, a deep root network spread across wide rows, basking in sunshine to create a brooding style with violet spiced tannin. KKO1 2025; the little brother of Seventeen Rows, finer more spearmint spice and more voluptuous tannin, a testament to how sensitive Pinot Noir is to site, terroir and management.

Moving to our more eccentric, futuristic, iconoclastic styles. Turbul Moscato Giallo 2023 is a wine you must taste to believe. The smell of lychee, marmalade orange rind and the immediate sniff of fairy floss. The palate is both dense as honey and yet elegant. There is nothing else like it in Australia. Redmondo 2022 is an outrageous method traditional sparkling. Barely ripe Moscato Rosa, picked as hard pink berries to yield the crunchiest acid and the most delicate perfume. Entirely made at the winery, allowing zero sulphur and quite a heavy load of lees to autolysis in the bottle, adsorbing the pink colour and releasing complex flavours. Unexpected. Deliciously soft zero sulphur, bone dry fine sparkling wine.

A NEW SEASON BEGINS

 We are so happy with vintage 2026, the Pinot Grigios to be bottled by end of June to highlight their vibrancy. The Amphoras are full of skin contact wine. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are quietly maturing in barrels. Then there are the small batches that require constant investigation and attention. That's a lot of tasting and discussion which is kind of fun after the heavy focus of harvest. 

This week we have begun to carefully prune our vines in the late May sunshine. 
At Quealy there is always a small block of vines that need extra attention. We love the challenge.
