The Tap Project: Urban Cellar Door Summer Pop-Up

January 16th 2018

This past weekend marked the inaugural pour at The Tap Project, Melbourne’s sparkling new urban Cellar Door summer pop-up.

Bourke Street’s premier address, Number One no less, will play host to an exaltation of beer & wine as Footscray and Mornington Peninsula combine for summer in the CBD.

A handpicked medley of Quealy wines will be available for tasting, all served at optimum freshness thanks to our cutting-edge keg technology.

New vintages of Amphora Friulano, Pobblebonk, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir can be paired with an array of Mediterranean inspired vegetarian dishes courtesy of chef Cian Fenaughty (previously Cutler & Co and Dinner By Heston in London).

Our great friends Hop Nation, producers of Footscray’s finest frothys, will treat beer aficionados to pots, pints and tasting flights.

As with every good Cellar Door, bottles will be available for purchase from the Tap Project.

And, if that’s not enough, Wax’o Paradiso are on hand to provide a slick soundtrack every Friday & Saturday. A most appropriate accompaniment given their reviews read like tasting notes; “very funky take on 70s disco, backed with a heavy dance beat and some well place percussion – heavy, soulful stuff.” ~ Beat Mag
